about Jaime

Welcome to my website!
My name is Jaime Robledo and I am a working actor, writer, and director, living in Los Angeles. I was trained in theater, with a BFA from the University in Mississippi and grew up in New York City performing in school plays and seeing shows and movies much more adult than I should have been allowed to see.
I am directing and helping to develop Vanessa Claire Perkins' (co-star and co-writer of Louis and Keely Live at the Sahara) newest play "Stoneface: the Rise and Fall and Rise of Buster Keaton" starring French Stewart. I wrote and directed the World Premiere of "Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes" at Sacred Fools Theatre Company. Recently I've been nominated for an Ovation Award for best Director for my work on Watson (which was also nominated for 3 other awards). Watson has won two L.A. Weekly awards; one for Best Male Comedic Performance and Best Comedy Direction and the Saturn Award for Best Local Stage Production (Small Theatre). Prior to Watson, I directed the West Coast Premiere of Jennifer Haley's breakout Humana Festival hit "Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom" which was nominated for a 2010 Ovation Award for best Sound Design. My appearances onstage include those of Bust Rod and Ms. Feldman in the world-premiere "Forbidden Zone: Live in the 6th Dimension" adapted from Richard Elfman's cult 80's musical.
My production company Hollywood Biltmore Films is a commercial film and video company that has produced projects ranging from corporate training videos, to spec commercials, and the feature film "A Long Road." In front of the camera I am probably best known as the highly opinionated goofball in the "Barely Functional" webseries and for having my painting van repossessed in the totally real Operation Repo. I am a proud member of the Sacred Fools Theatre Company and an avid gamer who has reached the Arson desk in L.A. Noire.
