10/25/16 - Evil Dead: Live in Concert opens to a sold out crowd and rave reviews!
9/13/16 - Jaime signs on to Co-Direct the live to film stage production of Evil Dead with Richard Kraft (Nightmare Before Christmas at the Hollywood Bowl), produced by Allison Abbate (The Iron Giant), conducted by the film's composer Joe LoDuca, and hosted by none other than Ash himself, Bruce Campbell at the famed United Artists Theatre in Los Angeles.
9/2/16 - Sacred Fools Theatre Company announces its 20th season as well as the first production of its 21st Season. Season 21 will begin with the Los Angeles Premiere of Mister Burns: A Post-Electric Play which Jaime will direct.
7/19/16 - Jaime signs on to direct another installment of Wicked Lit, this time for Jonathan Josephson and his adaptation of West African folk tales entitled "Anansi and the Demon"
4/27/16 - Astro Boy and Rio Hondo each win a Stage Raw Award. Jaime wins best Comedy Direction for Rio Hondo!
3/22/16 - Astro Boy and the God of Comics wins two LADCC awards!
3/10/16 - Stage Raw Award nominations are announced! Astro Boy and the God of Comics gets nominated for five awards including Production of the Year! Rio Hondo gets seven nominations of its own. Jaime is nominated in both the Best Direction and best Comedy Direction categories.
12/30/15 - Astro Boy and the God of Comics is nominated for four Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards including two for Jaime Robledo (Best Director and Best Sound Design) and nominations for CGI/Projection Design and a specialty nomination for Live Art Direction.
11/26/15 - Rio Hondo opens to rave reviews, The LA Weekly lauds it "Uproarious...and imaginitive," and the LA Times raves Rio Hondo to be "affably goofy, un-PC fun."
10/29/15 - Jaime's next collaboration with writer Bill Robens and Theatre of Note (in association with Opiate of the Masses), the comedy western Rio Hondo , opens November 19th at Theatre of Note.
9/24/15 - Astro Boy and the God of Comics gets an Ovation Award Nomination for its projection design and animation! Congratulations, Jim Pierce and Anthony Backman receive the individual plaudits.
6/20/15 - Astro Boy and the God of Comics opens to exceptionally rave reviews - The LA Weekly calls it "A scintillating, invention-packed tour de force of visual wit, breathtaking acrobatic performance and sumptuous, seamlessly integrated, multimedia production design." Arts in LA declares Astro Boy "a matchless 70-minute thrill ride." and Stage Raw names it Pick of the Week calling it a "spectacular production. Jaime Robledo's direction is brilliantly creative, pushing the technical capabilities of that theatre space about as far as they can go, resulting in a dazzling display."
6/6/15 - Jaime has signed on to direct The Ebony Frame for Unbound Production's annual "Wicked Lit" immersive classic horror theater.
3/3/15 - Stoneface has been nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Local Live Stage Production.
1/15/15 - Jaime will be directing the opening number to the 2015 Razzie Awards.
1/8/15 - Clown Bar opens to a sold out house and sparkling reviews. TheaterMania calls it "a dining-entertainment happening that few will have experienced before" and Life in LA calls it " great entertainment and refreshingly different, with just the right mix of suspense, romance and dark comedy. "
12/30/14 - "Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes" will make its high school premiere at University Schools in Greeley, CO on March 5, 2015. It is the third production of Watson playing throughout the country in March.
12/29/14 - The West Coast Premiere of Adam Szymkowicz's "Clown Bar" announces its opening date of January 8, 2015, at Red, White, and Bluezz in the courtyard of the Pasadena Playhouse.
10/29/14 - The Angelo State University production of "Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes" performed at the Texas I Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), cleaning up in the awards category. Watson won five Meritorious Achievement Awards, including Production Ensemble, three Irene Ryan Nominations, and the Respondent's Choice as best play of the Festival.
10/10/14 - "Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes" makes its university and it's Texas premiere, being produced by Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX.
7/21/14 - Sacred Fools Theater Company announces the opening date for "Astro Boy and the God of Comics" as June 20, 2015. The official artwork for the production is also released.
6/22/14 - The Dorset Players announces that "Watson" will be a part of their 2014/2015 season opening March 6, 2015. It will be running at the same time at the Garland Civic Theater in Dallas. Watson will next be produced at Angelo State University, opening October 10, 2014.
6/17/14 - The reviews are in and "Stoneface" is a hit! The L.A. Times calls it an "intelligently quirky, droll and affecting meta-theatrical fantasia." The Hollywood Reporter says it's "beyond-Broadway caliber" and Theatermania exclaims "Stoneface is one of the most exhilarating productions in Los Angeles in recent memory." Stoneface is also Ovation Recommended!
6/8/14 - Stoneface opens its run at the Pasadena Playhouse.
